Empowering Change: Period Talk Uganda’s Kisenyi Slum Outreach

In light of World AIDS Day and 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence we impacted over 300 lives through provision of free reusable pads, hygiene products, condoms, food items, and menstrual health and hygiene sensitization in line with usage of hygienic alternatives. Together we tackled period poverty and stigma and created a positive impact on one of Uganda’s most vulnerable communities.

Breaking Barriers: Kamwokya Outreach

The Kamwokya outreach marked the beginning of our #SlumPeriodProject, where we empowered 200 girls with reusable menstrual products, life skills training, and knowledge on menstrual health and hygiene. By engaging boys and girls alike, we took bold steps to combat period stigma and create sustainable solutions to period poverty.
